WP 9: Evaluation of Economics
At the end of the project economic considerations are on the spot. Evaluations of economical requirements due to the use of algae in waste water treatment will be done for:
- Energy saving due to O2-supply
- Energy consumption: e.g. for UV-(light) demand
- Evaluation of energy saving versus energy consumption
- Plant operating costs
- Requirements for refitting or expansion of existing plants
- Requirements for partial stream treatment
- Evaluation of potential for problematic (hazardous) substances (e.g. endocrine substances)
Evaluation of the potential of excess bacteria-algae biomass as raw material, as energy carrier and conversion into energy by anaerobic digestion.
